Jesper provided a recent update on Vicki's accomplishments - "(Vicki) sure doesn’t lack the hunting gene. She is great on the field and her post-shot abilities (retrieving and blood tracking “Schweiss”) are top. We have graduated from many tests and are now moving up in the grades. Just this last weekend we participated in the Swedish Weimaraner Club’s 30th anniversary (with fifty or so entries for the field trials, from all Nordic countries) and believe it or not but my Vicki won the championship (Club Winner 2009) The combined field competition comprise field trials (finding wild birds, shooting and retrieving), water retrieving and rabbit track (300m). She won in front of very experienced and champion dogs – so it was an amazing couple of days. In the show ring she is also doing very well. This summer she won BOB in the Danish speciality show and in Sweden she was placed #2 bitch. On top of that she is a great hunting dog and a great loving dog very/extremely close to me." |
