Albertsons Comunity Partner Program: So how much goes to the school? The percentage is based on the total amount of purchases by ALL cards used by a school in a given quarter (i.e., August, September October). The more you spend and use the card, the higher percentage of your purchases goes to the school at the end of the quarter. 0 - $29,999 = 2% $30,000 - 439,999 = 3% $40,000 0 449,999 = 4% $50,000 - $59,999 = 5% So, for example, if everyone used their cards for a particular school in a nine-week quarter and spent a total of $40,000, then $1,600 would go to the school for that quarter. Each school should have a contact person for sign-up. Questions can be asked by calling Albertson's or clicking the Albertsons link. Albertson Community Partner's Program Link . Stop into the School today and Ask for your Community Partner Card or Stop into Albertsons. |

You may also go to the Box Tops for Education web site (www.boxtops4education.com) and visit their marketplace. It is free to register at the Marketplace, then visit the Marketplace and go shopping at many national stores. By starting at the Box Tops Marketplace, Potomac will receive a percentage of your purchase. For instance, if you want to shop online at JCPenney, just start at the Box Tops Marketplace, select JCPenney from the over 200 stores listed and then do your shopping. Potomac will receive 3% of your purchase total at JC Penney through the Box Tops for Education program. If you went straight to JCPenney (without going through the Box Tops Marketplace, Potomac would receive nothing. You can also apply for a Box Tops for Education credit card that will benefit Potomac every time you use the card. |

Dear Patron, Hello. My name is Nancy Linnell. I am writing to you as the coordinator and a member of The Book Club of Potomac Elementary School. Our book club has twenty-eight student members and thirty-two adult members. These adult members include parents, teachers, and friends of the student members. The student members are in grades 5 through 8. We meet once a month to discuss a piece of literature. I started our club with the hope that students would be interested in reading—just for the fun of it. I was thrilled when more than half of the eligible students signed up for the club. I am writing to invite you to help us continue putting books into the hands and hearts of students. We have been able to purchase the books through the generous donations of book club members and community service groups in the Potomac valley. We plan to have a used book sale before the end of the school year. We are now reaching out to give you the opportunity to help us continue to read. Our goal for the book club is to read selections from the list of nominees for the Young Readers' Choice Award, which is an award given by the Pacific Northwest Library Association. We will be reading titles from the Junior and Intermediate divisions. The anticipated cost for running the book club is approximately $130.00 per month. Our projected total for twelve months is $1,300.00. Please consider sponsoring us at whatever level is comfortable for you. Your donation is tax-deductible. Thank you. On the reverse side of this letter, you will find testimonials from book club members. Thank you for your time and consideration. Happy reading, Nancy Linnell Potomac School School Phone (406) 244-5581 Book Club is a great opportunity for children and adults to spend quality time reading and discussing together.
