Information Services include:
Computer and Technology
The Library has a Personal Computer available at no charge during library hours. Features include:
- Internet access
- E-Mail accounts available
- Self help books available
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by parent or have signed a release agreement
- 30 minute time limit if someone else is waiting
- CD-ROM Databases and Reference Sources
- Word Processing Software and Printing. 10¢ per page
- Games for young and old
The Library has a copy machine. The charge is 10¢ per copy
Magazines
The Library subscribes to several periodicals including:
- National Geographic
- Smithsonian
- Consumer Report
- Popular Mechanics
- Popular Science
- Sunset
- Montana Outdoors
- The Economist
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Books not owned by our library may be borrowed from other
libraries. The service is free, but a fee may be charged by the lending
library. ILL request forms are available from the librarian.
Holds
Books owned by the Library, but not available at the time of
request, may be placed on hold, and you will be notified by telephone or mail when the item is available.
The Reference Collection contains resource materials that by arrangement, can be checked out. These items can be found by asking the Librarian. The Collection includes:
Native American Collection
History and Literature by and about Native Americans
Montana Collection
The Montana Collection contains local and Montana history, and Literature by Montana Authors.
Special Delivery is a free library materials delivery service
sponsored by the Bozeman Public Library. Provided by volunteers, this service
makes the following library materials available to people who are unable
to visit the Library on their own:
· Books
· Books-on-tape
· Magazines
· Videos
· Pamphlets
· Large Type Books
If you or anyone you know might be interested in using Special Delivery or becoming a volunteer, please call the Special Delivery volunteer coordinator:
The Library's meeting room is available for use by community
groups. A television and VCR are available to use. Talk to the librarian about reserving the room.
The Children's Department offers informative and recreational books for all ages, videos, and computers with learning games.
