Jocko Valley Public Library endeavors to develop collections, resources, and services that meet the cultural, informational, educational, and recreational needs of our community. The Internet, as an information resource, enables the Library to provide information beyond the confines of its own collection. It allows access to ideas, information and commentary from around the globe. It is within this context that the Jocko Valley Public Library offers access to the Internet. The Jocko Valley Public Library does not monitor and has no control over the information accessed through the Internet and cannot be held responsible for its content. The Internet is a global entity with a highly diverse user population. Currently, it is an unregulated medium and may contain material which patrons find inappropriate or offensive. The accuracy of information gained through this source is the responsibility of each originator/producer. Therefore, the Jocko Valley Public Library does not guarantee the accuracy of information obtained through the Internet.
The Jocko Valley Public Library does not censor access to materials or protect patrons from Internet-based information which may be found to be offensive, however Blackfoot Telephone Coop. Inc, has installed filters on the Internet during their DSL high-speed access demonstration period. All Internet resources accessible through the Library are provided equally to all Library users. As with other Library materials, restriction of a child's access to the Internet is the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian.

The Jocko Valley Library is operated almost entirely by volunteers. With more volunteers library hours can be expanded, and a broader range of services made available. Volunteers work in all parts of the library, doing a variety of activities; for example: shelving library materials, mending books, delivering books to homes, and assisting with children's programs. Volunteer assistant librarian positions are available for those who can donate time on a regular scheduled basis.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact
